Get Rid of Tool Residue. Eventually your combs, picks and brushes get clogged up in residue from your hair and your styling products. Soak them overnight in hot water and shampoo. The next day swish them through clean hot water and then rub down with a hand towel before laying out to dry. Shine it Up with….Beer? Flat beer, to be precise.
